Visit of the research team from the École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO), France, in collaboration with Universitas Serang Raya (Unsera),

On Monday, 1 June 2026, a research team from the École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO), France, in collaboration with Universitas Serang Raya (Unsera), visited the Bayah Dome Geopark Information Center.

The visit formed part of a collaborative research initiative that further highlights the significance of the Bayah Dome Geopark as a region of outstanding geological, cultural, and community heritage.

Through this field exploration, the area's unique potential—including the indigenous wisdom of the Baduy community and the cultural heritage of the Citorek Kasepuhan, together with the Citorek Depression and Mount Luhur Citorek—was further introduced to the international research community.

The Bayah Dome Geopark is not merely a tourist destination; it is an evolving center for learning, scientific research, and heritage conservation, continuously advancing toward broader international recognition.
