Batu Bedil is a Geoheritage
located in Cibeber Village,
Cibeber District, Lebak
Regency, Banten.

Rock Formation:
Geologically, the rock found is basal volcanic rock as a result of
Pleistocene volcanic activity. This rock has characteristics of dark
gray color, fine porphyritic texture, hypocrystalline, inequigranular,
composed of plagioclase minerals, k-feldspar, quartz, pyroxene, and
volcanic glass mass. This basal lava is observed to have a columnar
joint structure with a diameter of ± 50 cm, and is found in a fallen
condition which is likely a result of collapse. In terms of geological
age, the formation of this rock is adjacent to the mineralization in
Bayah which is of Pleistocene age.
