Batuan Metamorf Cihara is a nationally ranked Geoheritage, located
in Lebakpeundeuk Village, Cihara District, Lebak, Banten.

Rocks:
Metamorphic rock outcrops found on the bed and wall of the
Cigeber River. Metamorphic rocks originating from sedimentary rocks
with fresh light gray color characteristics with mafic mineral
foliation in the form of actinolite. The metamorphic rocks found are
of the schist type. Most of these rocks have undergone retrograde
metamorphism associated with uplift tectonic processes in the
Eocene-Oligocene. Retrograde metamorphism is characterized by
the presence of biotite minerals that are transformed into chlorite
and muscovite, hornblenda into actinolite, and actinolite into
chlorite. At the Cigeber River location, outcrops of pyroclastic flow
deposits and andesite igneous rocks can also be found. Located in
Lebakpeundeuk Village, Cihara District, Lebak, Banten.
